This is an opportunity to come and meet members of your Parish Council and Pamela Bale, District Councillor, to find out what the council and other local organisations have been doing in the village during the past year.

There will be an Open Forum during the meeting to allow you time to ask questions and time to talk informally before and after the meeting.

ANNUAL PARISH MEETING 2012

The works are programmed to start on 21 March 2012 and are expected to last one day only. Advanced warning signs will be erected on site and whilst these works are subject to weather conditions, every effort will be made to complete these works as programmed. Should it be necessary to revise these timings, the information boards will be updated accordingly.

The works will be carried out under a full road closure between the hours of 8.00 – 17.00. This is necessary to enable the safe completion of the works in accordance with current Health and Safety Regulations.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to private properties and businesses directly adjacent to the works, although, due to the nature of the work some inconvenience will be inevitable. We will however, endeavour to keep this to an absolute minimum.

The work is scheduled to start on Monday 5 March for approximately four weeks, weather permitting, and will be carried out between 9.00pm and 6.00am, when traffic flows are at their lowest. During these hours there will be varied overnight lane closures (either lanes 1 & 2 or lanes 2 & 3).

The Highway Agency would like to apologise in advance for any disturbance or inconvenience caused by the works and would like to emphasise, however, that the Highways Agency and its contractors work to strict procedures to ensure minimal noise at night.

The date of the next Parish Council meeting has been changed from 13th September to 6th September 2011. The meeting will commence at 7.30pm with the usual Open Session from 8.00pm to 8.15pm.

The work is scheduled to start on Monday 20th June for three weeks using temporary traffic lights between the hours of 9.30 to 16.00 Monday to Friday and 8.00 to 14.00 hours on a Saturday.

This means that there is a vacancy for one Parish Councillor to bring us to our full compliment of eleven.
