Pangbourne Christmas Lights

An update from the November Pangbourne Magazine

Liz White has been working very hard during the last few months, as have other members of the parish council and Pamela Bale, to obtain some Christmas Lights to be fitted on to the lamp posts in the Village Centre. It was decided to buy, rather than rent, so that the lights could be fitted each year without extra expense. Pamela was able to arrange for the supports to be fitted on to the present columns, using the WBC Members’ Bid Capital Fund, so each year the official contractors can put up and take down the lights as they are.

There was quite a sum to be raised to buy the lights, and also a contingency to cover the hiring of the contractors who fit the lighting. The following is a list of donors so far, and many thanks for all contributions received.
