Pangbourne’s Christmas Evening update; 6th December 2013

We are pleased to share an update from Lesley Crimp, who is the coordinator for the Pangbourne Christmas Evening.  Make sure you make a note in your diary for what promises to be a great event in the village calendar.

‘Pangbourne’s Christmas Evening will take place on Friday 6 December, and will actively encourage people from the local community to do their Christmas shopping in the village. Most of the independent shops will be staying open later than usual and including special offers for one night only. There will be charity stalls in the Village Hall, the switching on of the Christmas tree lights outside, and music from the Silver Band in the village centre.
We are hoping to raise enough money to be able to purchase Christmas Lights for the village centre, and details of the appeal will be issued shortly.’

I would very much like to donate £100 to the Christmas lights fund. i have often commented to people how Pangbourne does not seem to have all the “extras” that would make it into a very pretty village in the summer and at Christmas time. i.e. hanging baskets/bunting/christmas lights. you only have to visit Wokingham at Christmas to see how magical a few lights can make a place. Please let me know who to make the cheque out to and I will drop it in the post.

    Many thanks
