Essential Upgrade Works at Pangbourne Water Treatment Works We’re carrying out essential upgrades at Pangbourne Water Treatment Works (RG8 7AY) to improve water quality and maintain a reliable supply for the local community. What’s happening? Upgrades to the cascade aerators to meet Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) standards and enhance long-term reliability.. Work is due to start on 22 April 2025 and is expected to be completed by Spring 2026. What to expect? All work will remain within the treatment works site—no impact on public roads or traffic. Some increased noise and vehicle movements during working hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00). Temporary fluctuations in water quality may occur, but your water will remain safe to use.
