Thames Valley Flood Scheme Consultation

Published: 27 July 2021

There is a long history of flooding in the Thames Valley and this risk will continue to increase due to climate change.

The Environment Agency is consulting on the approaches being considered to manage flood risk across the Thames Valley, including large-scale floodwater storage, natural flood management measures and hard engineered methods such as flood barriers. To make this scheme work, they want to understand what is important for everyone who lives and works in the Thames Valley. The Environment Agency's public consultation on the scheme runs until 20 August 2021 and they are keen to gather your views.
