Road Closures

West Berkshire Council’s Contractor Volker Highways Ltd will shortly be commencing essential carriageway and footway repairs to the A329 and A340, under Permit No’s JV0052514/ JV0052515. Works will be undertaken on consecutive nights commencing the 10 November 2021 for 2 nights between 19:00-23:00

• 10 November 2021 – A329 Reading Road, from Horseshoe Road (Londis junction) to Church Road (opposite The Elephant)

• 11 November 2021 – A340, Tidmarsh Road, from A329 (by The Elephant) to just beyond junction with Pangbourne Hill

Advanced information boards will be erected on site and whilst these works are subject to weather conditions, every effort will be made to complete these works as programmed. Should it be necessary to revise these timings, the information boards will be updated accordingly. Alternatively, you can view the current status of the schemes by visiting https://one.network where any updates will be posted.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to properties directly adjacent to the repairs; although, due to the nature of the works some inconvenience will be inevitable. WBC will endeavour to keep this to an absolute minimum.
