Next Steps:
We plan to clear these missed collections tomorrow (Friday 26 June). Our webpage www.westberks.gov.uk/missedbin will be updated with a full list of affected roads.
If residents contact you regarding missed collections, please advise them to leave their containers out for collection tomorrow. They can also check if they are affected by visiting: www.westberks.gov.uk/missedbin
Please note: Today's disruption may have a knock-on effect on Fridays scheduled collections, but every effort will be made to complete them as planned. We will provide a further update tomorrow if necessary.
To mitigate the impact of the hot weather on crews, Veolia have implemented a number of measures, including:
- Starting rounds earlier in the day
- Encouraging regular breaks throughout shifts (vehicles have air-con)
- Providing water and support to crews on the ground
- Closely monitoring conditions and staff welfare
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and continued support.
